Playing With: Dollie Clip in Hair Extensions

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

I have serious hair issues. I hate my hair. I go to the hairdresser and cut it, colour it, and restyle it. I love it for about three days then I colour it back to dark brown and tie it back in a pony tail until it grows again. I have tried hair extensions but they fell out, and they malted all over the house. After 2 weeks, they were pulling so hard on my head, it started to weep!  It was a bad, bad experience.

After some research I found out about clip in hair extensions. I thought I would give them a try, and found some reasonably priced ones on EBay from Dollie Hair Extensions. ( Going away present from my dad! )

“Dollie hair extensions are made using only the finest quality remy human hair that is soft to touch and has an incredibly silky appearance. Our extensions come attached with premium silicone backed clips which ensure they stay on firmly and provide you with instant long beautiful hair” - Dollie Hair Extensions

I chose the 20″ Deluxe set in #2 Dark Brown  that included one 8″ wide piece, one 7″ wide piece, one 6″ wide piece and two 3.5″ wide pieces. My dad made payment, and they arrived in 3 working days!

After! Long lush hair!

After! Long lush hair ( Needs some blending in though!)

I had them in for about 10 minutes before i noticed they were starting to slide down my hair, I think I need more practice clipping them in. The hair felt so silky and soft, and there was no sign of damage of fall out. My hair is cut in a concave shape; with the front longer then the back, making it difficult to blend my hair in with the extensions. I think curling the hair would have a more natural effect. I can’t wait to try them out with curls!

Final Verdict: The Dollie Hair Extensions are gorgeous quality clip in hair extensions that are perfect for instant glamour!

Today I watched one of my all time favourite chick flicks : A league of their own.
I forgot how awesome this movie was, especially the costumes!

I especially loved ” All the way Mae” played by Madonna.

What I wore: A Splash Of Red

Dress: Elwood, Heels: Thrifted

Dress: Elwood, Heels: Thrifted

Today, I found these super sexy red suede heels in a thrift shop.

They were a score for $12.

I tried them on with this pretty dress I also bought today by Elwood.

I think i will wear this ensemble on Christmas day.

Or for a picnic. Maybe Moonlight Cinema?

If I was single I would wear this on a first date. It looks very sweet, with a touch of sexy.

This dress could also look good dressed down with flat sandals for a school run or shopping,

I just love it.

I didn’t do a silly pose today. I have a swollen eye from accidently exfoliating over it, and was trying to hide it by looking down. I also banged the side of my face when opening the pantry. It is so sore, hopefully it goes away soon.

I am such a klutz.
