Woolworths Select Contour Fit Nappies

Now, we all know that using cloth nappies is the most affordable, but I prefer disposable, It’s more convienient and one less thing I have to worry about.
A few months ago I ran out of nappies, and came across the Woolworths Select Contour Fit Nappies in my Woolies petrol station.
I only expected to use them for a day or two until I went to the shops to buy Huggies, but i was so impressed by the quality that I never went back!
Pros: Unlike the Huggies brand, the Woolworths Select Contour Fit Nappies have a strong tab, and don’t tear off when I pull them, they fit around her entire bottom and don’t dig into her legs like other brands.
Cons: If baby is wearing them for too long they may leak through layers, but this is only if you don’t change a wet nappy after a few hours, as many forgetful mums and dads have learnt. You may want to consider using another brand overnight.
Cost: The average price for a jumbo box of Toddler 72’s is around $32, but you can buy three packs of 24’s them on special at the moment for $7.99 each. That’s 30 cents a nappy!
Verdict: After 3 months and only 2 leaks, these nappies are definitely the best in regards to value and are just as good if not better than many leading brands.
Found any baby bargains lately?

" Jump, Just do it!" - my sister and I in Noosa
I have been away from the keyboard over the last month. I have been so busy and failed to write my blog.
I deserve a big smack!
Ok, so I haven’t been completely honest. I went into depression again, which equals creative block and no blog.
But, I am feeling better now, and glad to be back.
New Year,New Eve

Happy New Year - From my family to yours! x
Happy New Year! I hope that 2010 brings you much love and warm moments.
Over the past couple of days I have been thinking about what 2010 will bring to me? The problem is, I have it all wrong.
I should be thinking what I can bring to 2010! ? I have concluded, if I give more to the world; I will feel better about myself and eventually good things will come my way!
- I am going to reinvent Eve Pretty, and focus on something I am good at, enjoy and will help others. I am going to write more about living a frugal lifestyle by incorporating tricks and tips on thrifting, DIY, Ebay, cheap eats and cutting costs on household living. So watch this space!
- I am going to take up scrap booking, at the request of my seven year old. This way we can spend time together and work towards creating something special.
- I am going to experiment more with food! That way I can cook yummy meals for my husband and kids without dining out and spending a fortune!
- I am going to send my grandmother postcards and letters every now and then. Such a simple gesture would mean so much to her and keep my handwriting skills up.
These are a few things I would like to do, and hope to achieve this year.
What do you think you can bring to 2010?
Five things that inspire me
Hear mum roar is running a fun meme each week.
This weeks topic is, Five things that inspire me
1. Beautiful houses: Whenever I am a passenger in a car i find myself mesmerized by all the beautiful houses I see. They really motivate me, and inspire me to improve my life so one day i will be in the financial position to have one of my own.
2. Street Art : Street art inspires me to be more creative, to look a little bit harder at the world around us and slow down a bit to notice the small things they normally go unnoticed.
3. Nurses, Youth Workers, Teachers and Mothers : All of these people hold a special place in my heart. I have so much respect for these professions and their selflessness. It is a shame how undervalued they are.
4. Random acts of kindness between strangers : I love hearing a good news story about how someone has been helped by a stranger, like the time a man helped us by delivering a sack trolley to our home when we couldn’t fit it in our boot.
5. Colour: I love colour. Red flowers against a blue wall, a colourful salad, bright pink hair and orange butterflies. They all make me smile.
Now I would like to know, what inspires you?
